Oil-free operation – due to its elastic diaphragm, diaphragm pumps do not require lubrication of its mechanical component conducting work. A very important benefit results in no oil, grease, or other contaminants coming in contact with the respective gas or liquid. This is in contrast to piston pumps that have cylinders requiring lubrications. Contaminant-free fluid delivery is critical for most analytical instrumentation, clinical chemistry, gas sampling and medical applications.
High gas tightness/low leakage – since the diaphragm is firmly fixed between the pump housing, the elastomer material is static and consequently not exposed to wear. In these stationary areas, the diaphragm takes on the function of a flat seal. As a result, virtually no gas can leak through these fixed areas. Due to their excellent gas-tightness characteristics, Hargraves diaphragm pumps perform well in gas sampling of toxic fumes and other gas applications.
High reliability and long life – advanced materials, innovative designs, and enhanced motor technology have enabled Hargraves diaphragm pumps to exceed 20,000 hours of operation.
Flexible mounting – diaphragm pumps may be installed in various mounting orientations. In addition, the Hargraves EZ Mount vibration isolation mounting system facilitates simple installation while reducing system vibration and noise.
